Predictive Analytics Lab successfully executed three vital projects for the Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), sponsored by the World Bank.
The first project involved comprehensive training sessions on Big Data Analytics for Agriculture, targeting personnel from KALRO, the Kenya Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Agriculture.
This initiative equipped the participants with advanced analytical skills to harness the power of big data for informed decision-making in the agricultural sector.
The second project focused on enhancing cybersecurity, data security, and information security awareness among KARLO, the Kenya Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Agriculture staff. The training aimed at fortifying their capabilities to safeguard sensitive agricultural data and infrastructure from potential cyber threats.
Lastly, the third project concentrated on GIS training for the same entities, enabling them to leverage Geographic Information Systems for spatial analysis and mapping, thereby enhancing their capacity to make geographically-informed decisions in agricultural planning and resource management.
These initiatives collectively contributed to empowering key stakeholders in Kenya’s agricultural landscape with cutting-edge skills and knowledge.
